The 2025 Special Issue of the World Language Studies journal of the Faculty of Foreign Languages at the Social Sciences University of Ankara, titled “L. N. Tolstoy on the 115th Anniversary of His Death: The Universal Legacy of a Writer Beyond Borders”, has been published.

Released under the title Tolstoy Special Issue, this volume examines the great writer’s literary legacy, philosophical reflections, and influence on world literature from the perspectives of various disciplines. The journal features studies focusing on literary, linguistic, cultural, and translation-oriented analyses of Tolstoy’s works.

By shedding light on Tolstoy’s intellectual world, WLS opens new avenues for discussion in the fields of literature, language, and culture.
